Kit

I've been working on fashoning a survival kit based on the info in 98.6 degrees keeping yr. ass alive by Cody Lundin.

Picture shows a fire I started using the fire starter at left, and a vasoline slathered cotton ball. Did not use the matches in the orange match safe at right. You can also see the fanny pack which contains the kit at the top of the image.

Other things I noted today: I forgot my cordage, the iodine has no dropper, the lanyards held on by gorilla tape came lose (try duct tape?).

Have a Good Read: Winter Study

This books continues my impression that Nevada Barr and her Anna Pigeon series are slipping.  This book is overlong, the animals are more interesting than people and the plot is both slow and convoluted.
