This is one of the most pleasant reads I have had in sometime.
Things like pigs in dog costumes, mad chefs, soccer fans and the milieux of New York make this volume a good time.
Picked this one up at the Airborne Musuem. Subject is three man multi national special operations teams of World War II.
The first time I have read a book by an Iraqi war soldier. A balanced account of his time in Iraq. He puts combat stories, army life and his own life story together without a lot of wighning or commentary.
Not the best of Katz's animal books. He struggles between story telling, pyschology and religion.
A funny damn book! Bumbling big city librarian heads north and after incompetently bumbling comes out a hero. This eries goes on the pick it up when I see it list."I suddenly realized we were all crazy and had nothingto work for except the
next meal & the next good sleep" Jack Kerouac
