Governor's=Presidents

Who might be President? History is clear: Governor's- Clinton, Reagan, become Presidents.

Further back both Roosevelt's were Governor's of New York.

Two Democratic candidates who fit the State House profile: Richardson, Vilsack.
And a Republican: Tommy Thompson

FYI New Mexico has never had a President born there while Vilsack would join Herbert Hoover as Iowa based Presidents.

On the Front Runners

About Hillary, "No wonder last weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” gave us a “Hillary” who said, “Knowing what we know now, that you could vote against the war and still be elected president, I would never have pretended to support it.”

As to McCain "Mr. McCain’s Achilles’ heel: his age. He is now 70 years old. By 2008, if elected, he would be the oldest president to move into the White House."

Supplies Laid in....

Winter Walking

Just back from a walk and thought of this poem from 02/06

Winter Walking: like a walled city.

Unshoveled areas are walls to walking

Find the clear strip strap of snow the
pitch patch of perceived traction.

Walk on into whiteness.

Out to Goiânia

BookScoutLookout is shipping a book to Goianai Brazil which has a population of 1.2 million comparable to San Diego.

Goianai is to the west of Brasillia.

15-21 January Poem

17° the coldest I've seen.

It's not a new building but a snow covered coal pile.

Winter turns skylights to snowlights.

New powder arrives. It shovel's easily.Just get under the light fresh layer and push.

Free Chair

Out with the old...never thought I'd get rid of this chair. Man the living room is extra roomy now, etc.
