I erred by heeding the forecast. 60% chance of rain by 1 PM. Then explain the sun please.
Dressed according to forecast in pants and shirt regret tinged my 1st steps.
The lake was unexpectedly foggy. True inland the overcast was adding to the cold.
The weather struggled with fog, sun, cold remaining from overcast and heat coming up from the sun.
The lake was foggy enough that visibility was less than a couple miles. Overhead overcast shined up via sun.
Arriving at the lake sleeves were rolled up. Dogs were in the water.
I was lake side bouldering seeing what I could.
To my right a rock built little bolt hole hide away. Could it be a duck hunter or a homeless resident?
The presence of rusted tin cans makes me think hunter. Whenever I find these things they have rusted cans!
There was even a small piece of finished lumber across some rocks to sit. Yet you face away from the water? Maybe a homeless person staying away from the wind.
Next up a glass milk bottle. Says Sanitary Dairy Muskegon MI. Don't know it's vintage but to take the pounding of waves it must be a bit of a veteran.
Turning for home the coolness of the water's edge goes fast replaced by the pulling heat now going on inland.
All in an hour weather, exercise, history.
