Weather Journal 27 March

Yesterday we hit 70 which is 24 degrees above normal and 44 more than 2006. Today's normal high temperature is 47 and we are expected to top out at 57°. Whatever we get will be better than the all time low of 2° in 1996!

Rain looks likely this afternoon. Current radar shows a precipitation formation out in Iowa.

The forecast discussion mentions a high pressure system that will be over James Bay at the Southern end of Hudson Bay. Of interest is that the pressure of this high will be 1045 MB much a pressure not often seen. Pressure in this area is 1028 and rising.
