Barcelona World Race

Leaders: 1. PRB 2. Paprec Virbac 2 + 5 miles 3. Estrella Damm + 20 Miles

Weather: Currently winds are from the west producing upwinds sailing. A front will pass and turn the winds to the east from 15-20 knots.

Fleet: Best sailing conditions yet with speeds from 7.3 for Estrella Dam to 11.3 for Mutua MadrileƱa. The leaders are between Adra in Spain and Melilla a European territory actually in Africa. The boats are much closer to the Spanish side.

Guillermo Altadil of Estrella Damm is feeling ill reporting, "This night I had stomach pains, I was trembling and a little feverish; it could be the last land-based memory I have brought on board Estrella Damm with me." From Roland Jourdain: ""The night is black and stars shine. We've just overtaken Mutua" leading them by 4 miles at last report. Sidney Gavignet sends a long report including his music choices, "I spent my night with Amy Winehouse and Bjork; groove and madness."
