mekhuteneste

I've been asking the question what do the parents of a married couple call each other. I've done research, had some done for me and here's what I've got:

To my mind the most serious absence is a word describing the relationship between two sets of in-laws - a pretty important one at this time of year, with its annual whose-house-are-we-going-to ritual. Here Yiddish comes into its own with mekhuteneste.
