Packers beat Chiefs I have thoughts

  1. Ryan Grant: 19 carries for 55 yards a 2.8 average. He did have some impact. For instance on the 3rd quarter TD drive he had a screen pass for 15 and his longest run of 12. I think he stayed viable.
  2. Woodson: After a penalty on the drive ( he had 4 total) where the Chiefs went ahead 21 had that big punt return and the interception he returned for a TD. Clear all clutch team stuff.
  3. Bigby: Overall another down game. Early he had a good hit then had the coverage on a 25 yard catch by Gonzalez, then was burned for 8, had that killer pass interference near the end of the 1st half and was covering Gonzalez on his TD. He does hit big occasionally but the negatives are overwhelming right now.
  4. Hawk: A better game than any other this season. Had an interception, some good coverage on Gonzalez and showed up on special teams. The interception led to Jennings 1st TD that put Packers up 13-7 and was one the games 6 lead changes.
  1. Young receivers: Jennings catches a game winning bomb for the 2nd week in a row, Jones caught the games 1st pass.
  2. Crosby went 4/5 on field goals and kicked off well. He replaced Dave Rayner who now kicks for KC. He put a kickoff out of bounds giving GB a short field that led to a Crosby 32 yarder and another lead change. Crosby won this matchup.
  3. Roughing the Passer Call on Chiefs: The call in the 1st quarter was a weak one when a Chief lightly touched Favre's helmet.
  1. Donald Lee 4 catches including a 48 yarder another strong game.
  2. The Weird kick play: Morency thought it was a lateral and so kicked it out of bounds to avoid it being recovered and advanced. There was a review and they determined it as a forward pass but still penalized for the kick. That's as weird as in the Bears game when there was a Packer challenge, the spots of the ball was changed in their favor yet it was still a 1st down and they lost the challenge. 2nd straight game they were penalized for kicking ball, this was one more foregivable.
  3. Injuries: Corey Williams and Nick Collins. Collins has the worst of it with Williams expected back this week.
  4. Chiefs need 3 tries to get 2 point conversion on multiple Packer penalties.
  5. Bob Mcginn: "In some kind of order, it was Hawk, Jennings, Driver, Favre and Woodson coming through with six game-changing plays. When observers ask why the Packers are 7-1, this is why."
  6. The story of the challenge.
  7. O Line: Colledge, Clifton, and Tauscher all had holds.
