Quotes: J.P. Dick ". "It's starting to get cold, and we don't really now what to wear. We're in the transition zone before the southern latitudes."

Estrella Damm's tea: "The night watches can be rather long, and many a sailor has devised different methods of passing the time. My latest consists of continuing to add another tea bag to each mug of tea, without taking out the previous one. By the end of my watch there may be three or four in there. The tea gets nice and strong, but it actually gets kind of hard to drink since the top is clogged up. Now these are not always the same types of tea either, so you get some unusual combinations. I am sure tea connaisseurs would be aghast."

Alex Thomson: "At this stage it was getting critical so I grabbed a white hand flare and set it off but still it kept on coming. We had no choice but to put HUGO BOSS head to wind and over we went, sails flogging and mast nearly in the water. The ship passed by so close I could nearly read its name on the transom."
