For Obama

OK, I've decided I am for Obama. Let me lay out my reasoning.

After his South Carolina victory Obama said, "It's about the past versus the future. It's about whether we settle for the same divisions and distractions and drama that passes for politics today, or whether we reach for a politics of common sense, and innovation - a shared sacrifice and shared prosperity. That's it we've seen the recent past and it is ugly, belligerent and not successful.

In Florida Mitt Romney said about McCain “But those three pieces of legislation, those aren’t conservative. Those aren’t Republican.” That's the present, pointless and holding us back.

I read recently this phrase. What is needed is not post 9.11 thinking but post 9.11 creativity. I don't think that Obama will be a one man silver bullet. I do think that he can be a vessel for creative thinking that will get us to move forward.

John Kennedy once said, “The world is changing. The old ways will not do!” This in response to Harry Truman. Well in response to Clinton(s), McCain and Romney I say get out of the way!
