World Almanac Blog: America's 33rd largest city

In 2008 I will blog on items found in the World Almanac. This is a yearly Christmas gift I have grown to cherish. M thru F you will read items that maybe chronological, topical or random.

On P. 626 Albuquerque is listed as having a population of 384,915 in 1990. By 2006 this had grown to 504,949. No other New Mexico city if over 100,000. Per P. 595 this makes it the 33rd largest American city. The city is 180.6 square miles and the Mayor is Democrat Martin Chavez (P.545).
