A look at some car production figures starting on P. 73. In 2006 Japan produced 11,484,233 cars to the United States 11,351,289. In 2006 30.1 percent of US cards were imports. The Toyota Camry was the top selling car at 448,445 while the Prius was 20th at 106,971. Reports indicate that in 2007 Toyota (9,497,754) outproduced GM (9,369,524)
