In 2008 I will blog on items found in the World Almanac. This is a yearly Christmas gift I have grown to cherish. M thru F you will read items that maybe chronological, topical or random.
Today I opened to P. 232 to find that the American Film Institute ranks the Sound of Music as the 40th best movie of all time. It is also in the National Film registry. On P.261 it shows that Sound of Music was best picture in 1965 and Robert Wise won best directory.
