This portion of the blog is where I try to learn a little bit. I start with my World Almanac, find a topic and what the book has and then search the 'net to add infobits to my knowledge base.
This day 1961 Alan Shepard becomes the 1st American in space. Flight lasted 15 minutes and reached a height of 116 miles (P.309). Shepard's next space flight was in 1971, when he spent over half an hour on the moon.
