This portion of the blog is where I try to learn a little bit. I start with my World Almanac, find a topic and what the book has and then search the 'net to add infobits to my knowledge base.
South Dakota became a state in 1889 (P. 577). It is the 46th most populous state, but 16th in land area. Sparky Anderson, Bob Barker and Tom Brokaw hail from SD.
