Keys to Packers Vs. Vikings Week 1

Let me start by saying that in preface to game keys I will always list the following 3 for each game.
First the team needs to score TD's not FG's. Good teams do this. Second each game the special teams need to make a play be it a TD return, a key punt, strong coverage work, blocked extra point. Third turnovers need to be created. This along with special teams can lead to short fields making it easier to get 6 than three.

A long punt return to the 20 giving the offense a short TD drive is one way these can occur. Another might be good kick coverage pinning a team deep, then a force fumble leading to another short TD.

Call that general keys, my philosophy of football etc.

Below are specific Vikings game keys.

1. QB play. For years you could say the Packers are at worst even at QB, that Favre gives them a chance to win any game. Now with Rogers things are much more unknown. His opposite number is also young and questionable. A 400 yard game might not be needed, but solid play will be.

2. WR's make plays. As a group the Packers WR's are their best. I rate Greg Jennings as their # 1 player.

3. New Special Team elements ie Punter and long snapper. Production needed mistakes are not.

4. Block the Line: The Vikings line with WilliamsX2 and Allen is supposed to be special. Can the never the same 2 days in a row Packers line block them?

5. Vikings missing OT. Their LT Mckennie is suspended. How much advantage can the Pack take of this?
