An excellent book my first of 2K 10. Hasnen has been at the fore front of climate change science for over 20 years. The book draws extensively on research he done into climate from temperature measuremants in the present era to information on paleoclimate from millions of years ago.
The book also draws on his experiences as a public intellectual especially the difficulties he had during the Bush administration.
Finally he offers prescriptions to help with climate change. Perhaps most interesting is his statement that coal power plants must stop now and the possibility that nuclear power was unjustly shut down during the Clinton adminstration.
