For what its worth Izzo has lost to North Carolina in the NCAA tournament in 1998 by 15, 2005 by 16 in the Final Four, 2007 by 14.

In the regular season Sparty lost to NC in 1995 but beat them in 1999 and 2000 before losing to them earlier this season.

Izzo is 0-2 in the NIT.

Izzo is a thorough going Yooper and Michigander having worked his entire life in Michigan except for a two month stay at the University of Tulsa.

March madness and all that. For me its simple. I hope Michigan State does well. Coach Izzo is a yopper, got to support yr. own. I like Wisconsin too. Beyond that can't say & don't know.
