Weather Journal 5 April

If there is 'indian summer' then we must currently be experiencing 'eskimo winter'. Snow covers the ground, wind chill is again relevant (@ 10°) and it will continue ("another 'shot of cold air friday')

In March the last below freezing reading was 30 degrees on the 21st. Yesterday's low was 24 and today has not yet been above 25 degrees. It does look like we will miss the record low of 15° in 1982.

The wind continues to exert its force. In the cemetery across the street I saw several large limbs blown off trees. On the lake a gale warming is in affect until this afternoon.

Not just terrestrial weather also Space weather makes the news with it's affects on GPS which even includes affects on the banking system while Florida is running out of sand and gaining knowledge on climate change.
