Barcelona World Race: Day 21


  • PRB's lead over Paprec Vibrac is 48 miles.
  • On board PRB Vincent Riou: "We had a nice and quiet Sunday, we are now sailing along the edge of the St. Helena high."

  • 3rd place Veolia is 260 miles back 4th place Hugo Boss 392 miles back. Veolia shows fastest speed of 15.6 knots.
  • All others are 400 miles + in arears.
  • Alex Thomson: "The leaders are extending but the forecast shows the possibility of some catch up in the middle of next week."
  • J.P. Dick: "In 3 or 4 days we will be in the deep south with constant wind from behind."
  • Weather: the flow of the Roaring Forties is established just south of 43°S with the leader at 33° south.
