This portion of the blog is where I try to learn a little bit. I start with my World Almanac, find a topic and what the book has and then search the 'net to add infobits to my knowledge base.
April 16, 1947 Kareem Abdul Jabbar born, Brooklyn New York. Jabbar is the NBA's all time leading scorer. His UCLA ('67 to '69) teams won 3 titles. In the NBA he won a title with Milwaukee (1971) and then 5 more with the LA Lakers (1980, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1988).
